The Queso Guayanés or Queso Telita is a type of fresh cheese originating from Venezuela. Usually it is eaten as a filling for arepas, cachapas or empanadas.
It is a fresh cheese with a soft texture, without rind, made with pasteurized milk.
Soft , milky and tasty flavor when fresh is so delicate that it is almost spreadable .
Its smooth but firm flavor is impossible to forget. So much so that today there is no restaurant or arepera that does not include it in their menu to Queso Guayanes.
